The Malta Startup Residence Programme grants a 3-year residency permit, extendable for an additonal 5 years, during which beneficiaries are able to reside in Malta while launching their startup venture.

KEY BENEFITS
The aim of the programme is to support third-country national entrepreneurs and their family members and give them the opportunity to bring their ideas to a European market by conferring immigration rights.
Non - EU applicants and their family members</
Minimum share capital is 25,000 €
Maximum founders are 6
Residency permit is granted for every founder and family for 3 years and extended for another 5 years
Residency also granted to core employees (annual earning not less than 30,000 €)
Founders and key employees really must live in Malta for at least 183 days in a year, thus becoming tax residents of Malta and paying their income tax in Malta

Professional application support: 5,000 € excl. VAT
Should you need any help with finding a property and / or arranging for health insurance, those services would be charged as per TRS ( time recording system) with the pre-payment of 500 €.
Company registration & administration: from 1300 € annually
Governement fees:
Government administration fee 750 € for each adult applicant/dependent
82.50 € upon issuance of the residence card
300 € for the premium VISA service (if applicable)
